Who we fund

We support different types of charities across the South and South East of England.

The counties in the South and South East which we cover are; Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, London & Greater London, Norfolk, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Surrey & Sussex. We do not offer support to any charities outside of these listed counties.

The Trust has a strong emphasis on helping charities which offer care and support for people who are terminally ill, have a serious illness, as well as mental and physical disabilities.

Horseracing charities

Horseracing charities

The major portion of funding under this object is given to the welfare of those in need within the racing industry. This is aimed at people who are elderly and retired, injured and those on a low income plus young people who need support.

Jewish charities

Jewish charities

The Trust provides funding to promote the Jewish faith and to help Jewish people in need. Applications are considered from Jewish charities that help the elderly, disabled adults together with children and young people.

South African charities

South African charities

Supporting education with a particular emphasis on Early Childhood Development the Trust operates in South Africa under the name of the Jim Joel Fund. This area of our Objects reflects the Joel family’s long involvement and extensive business interests in South Africa.
