Purpose of policy

This policy describes how The Childwick Trust processes your personal data in the course of undertaking its charitable activities (including the processing of applications for grants from applicants and the provision of grants to successful applicants (together, our applicants)).

It is important that you read this policy as it contains important information on who we are, how and why we collect, store, use and share (i.e. process) personal data, your rights in relation to your personal data and on how to contact us and supervisory authorities in the event you have a complaint.

We may change the terms of this policy from time to time. This version is dated 17th August 2018.

Who we are and our Privacy Officer

For the purposes of data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), the Data Protection Act 2018 and other relevant legislation, the data controller collecting and processing your personal data is The Childwick Trust, a private company limited by guarantee incorporated and registered in England and Wales with number 08224553 and a charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales with number 1150413. Our registered office is at 9 The Green, Childwickbury, St Albans, AL3 6JJ.

The data we collect about you

Personal data means any information about an identified or identifiable individual.

Other data controllers (including our applicants) may also provide your personal data to us.

  • To undertake our charitable activities and improve upon the processes involved in undertaking such activities.

We also have procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
